And What a Trip  it Was!

Well, it was the first time we ever put our tails in a Kayak, and it was a great time to say the least!  Even though I went over those falls backwards, and my rib is still hurting as I write this!   I was too busy  trying not to drown to take a lot of pictures but here are a few of what I did take!

I may not know what I'm doin, but I look good doin it!

That little speck out there is Rick

Nothin to this Kayak stuff!

Where's the brakes on these boats?

This is where we broke for Lunch! (Nothing was soggy)

This is where we caught that 30' long Anaconda snake.

This is where Rick let it go.  It was scared to death of us anyway

All and all, it was a whole lot of fun!  Even though we did have one scary moment at some falls, when the current grabbed me when I wasn't looking and I went over backwards, and landed on my side.  And then trying to retrieve my paddle, that was hung in the falls, and swimming around in that ice cold water, and getting dumped a couple of times, and trying to stand on those slick rocks, and meeting those guys that looked like they played in the Movie Deliverance,  it was still just a great day. So if you know anyone who has a Recreational Kayak for sale, send em to Rick and I!

Also a special thankyou to a guy named Todd, who didn't know Rick and I, but was kind enough to let us borrow his boats for this first time adventure.  By the way Todd, sorry I lost your spunge, and your drain plug.  If you ever need to borrow a bicycle, let me know!
